Barry Westman has led the Fanshawe Men's, Women's and Mixed Curling teams to numerous OCAA and CCAA medals during his time as a Head Coach. He was named the CCAA Women's Curling Coach of the Year in 2019 and 2016. The 2019-20 season, Westman brought home two OCAA medals and a CCAA bronze for Fanshawe Curling, bringing his total to 25 OCAA and 12 CCAA medals. Along with coaching at Fanshawe, Westman also coaches the St. Thomas Curling Club Junior Program and high school curling. He has been a member of the St. Thomas Curling Club since 1995 and currently serves on their Board of Directors. Westman graduated from Fanshawe College in 1987 with a diploma in Business Administration – Accounting and he is currently the Manager of Finance and Administration for Family and Children's Services of Elgin County.
