(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Athletics announced today, that Men's Cross Country student-athlete Sandy Freeland (Kitchener, ON) has been named the Fanshawe Male Student-Athlete of the Month for November sponsored by the Fanshawe Alumni Association.

At the CCAA Cross Country National Championships in Calgary on November 13, Freeland was an integral part of the Falcons winning their second consecutive Men's Team National Championship gold medal. Freeland finished fourth individually in the eight kilometre men's race in an outstanding time of 25:32 to become a two-time All-Canadian. He is also a two-time CCAA National Champion.

The fourth-year runner is in the Fitness and Health Promotion program.
