(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Athletics announced today, that Men's Cross Country student-athlete Seth Marcaccio (London, ON) has been named the Fanshawe Male Student-Athlete of the Month for October sponsored by the Fanshawe Alumni Association.

At the OCAA Cross Country Championships hosted by Humber College on October 30, Marcaccio captured both individual and team gold. The fifth-year runner won the men's race in a time of 26:18 becoming a two-time OCAA champion, having also won back in 2016. The Fanshawe men's team also won their second consecutive OCAA Championship. Marcaccio was named to the OCAA All-Ontario First-Team. He is enrolled in the Music Industry Arts program.

On November 13, Fanshawe Cross Country will compete in the CCAA Cross Country National Championships hosted by St. Mary's University in Calgary, Alberta. The Falcons' Men's squad are the reigning CCAA National Champions.
