On Wednesday evening, the Fanshawe Women's Soccer team (2-4) was victorious in a 6-0 match against the Lambton Lions (0-6) at the Fanshawe Soccer Field.
In the 3rd minute, the Birds were off to a quick start. Addison Skinkle (Caledon, ON) assisted midfielder Mackenzie Mota (St. Thomas, ON) who scored the game's first goal. Madilyn Michienzi (London, ON) followed in the 7th minute, finding the back of the net off of a Madison White (Komoka, ON) assist. Jylia Boyd (London, ON) would go on to score the third goal of the match in the 29th minute. After the first half, the Falcons were up 5-0 against the Lions.
The final goal of the game came from White to put the Birds up six. Both Mota and Michienzi recorded two goals during the match. Fanshawe's dominating 6-0 win was attested to the Falcons' 28 shots to the Lions 5.
On Saturday, September 30, the Falcons go head-to-head against Sheridan (1-4-1) at the Trafalgar Campus in Oakville, ON. Fanshawe looks to improve their win streak versus the Bruins.
