Fanshawe Women’s Soccer Come Up Short Against Conestoga

 (London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Women's Soccer team was defeated by the Conestoga Condors 1-0 in a close match on Saturday, September 23.

In the first half, Conestoga's Megan Voutour (Kitchener, ON) scored off a penalty kick in the 29th minute. Voutour's goal against the Birds makes it her third of the season. In the second half, the Falcons controlled majority of the possession. Throughout the match, the Falcons outshot the Condors 8-6. Fanshawe third-year Jylia Boyd (London, ON) set herself up with an exciting chance on goal, but the Birds remained scoreless in the game.

The Falcons look to solidify a win against the Lambton Lions at the Fanshawe Soccer Field on Wednesday, September 27. The Birds previously shut out the Lions this season in a dominating 3-0 match.
