(London, Ontario) – Third-year middle, Jayden Crowther (London, ON) and third-year outside hitter, Tanner Paterson (Baden, ON) were honoured for their accomplishments this season as the OCAA announced their 2023-24 Volleyball Awards.
Crowther was a force to be reckoned with and was named an OCAA West Division First Team All-Star after leading the Falcons in blocks. Crowther accumulated 110 kills, 46 blocks, and a total of 171 points in 17 matches. Crowther has also recorded an outstanding .364 hitting percentage and finished the regular season fifth in the OCAA with 0.73 blocks per set.
Paterson led the Birds with 3.02 kills per set and 101 digs, which resulted in him being named to the OCAA West Division Second All-Star Team. His dominating presence on the court contributed to 190 kills, good for the third most kills in the OCAA West Division this season.
The #13 nationally ranked Falcons (13-5, 2nd in West) will face the Algonquin Wolves (14-4, 3rd in East) in an OCAA quarterfinal match at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17. The OCAA Championship host will be determined Sunday evening after all the quarterfinal matches conclude. The highest seed remaining will host.
