Fanshawe Falcons Men’s Soccer Honoured with OCAA League Awards

(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Falcons Men's Soccer team was honoured for their accomplishments this season as the OCAA handed out their 2021 league awards.

 

Fanshawe Head Coach Rob Pereira was named the OCAA West Division Coach of the Year for leading the team to a 5-0-1 record and the West Division regular season title. The team did not surrender any goals enroute to their first place finish. This is the third time in his seven years as Head Coach that Pereira has received this award.

 

Fanshawe striker Mike Sneddon (Mount Brydges, ON) was named a CCAA All-Canadian and West Division Player of the Year for leading the Falcons in goals scored with seven. He was also named a League All-Star and was the West Division Scoring Champion. Sneddon became the Fanshawe Men's Soccer all-time career scoring leader this season with a four-year total of 30 goals scored.

 

Falcon first-year student-athlete Jalen Loague (London, ON) was named the overall OCAA Rookie of the Year for his outstanding play this season, while teammate Bradley Heath (Markham, ON) was named the OCAA West Division Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. Both players, along with Brandon Mendes (London, ON) were named to the OCAA West Division All-Star Team.    

 

The Falcons Men's Soccer squad were the West Division Champions and Top Defensive Team.
