(London, Ontario) – The OCAA quarterfinal playoff matches are set for both the Fanshawe Falcons No. 10 CCAA ranked Men's team and the No. 11 Women's team.
The Falcons Women's team (5-0-1, 1st West) will play the George Brown Huskies (2-4, 3rd Central) at City Wide Sports Park at 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 23. Fanshawe's dominant attack topped the league in goals scored with 41, powered by fifth-year striker Kayla McQueen (London, ON). McQueen led the province in goal scoring with 17, making it the third consecutive season that a Fanshawe student-athlete has led the OCAA in goals. Victoria Hinchliffe (Guelph, ON) also led the league in assists during regular season play, with five.
The Fanshawe Men's squad (5-0-1, 1st West) will host George Brown (3-4, 3rd Central) on Saturday, October 23 at 8:30 p.m. at City Wide. The Falcons are leading the OCAA with an impressive zero goals against and are led offensively by the dynamic duo of Mike Sneddon (Mount Brydges, ON) and Ryan Baker (Strathroy, ON). Sneddon, Fanshawe's all-time scoring leader, is third in the OCAA in goals scored with seven, and Baker leads the league in assists with six.
