Hampson Captures Fanshawe’s First CCAA Men’s Golf Medal

(London, Ontario) – At the CCAA National Golf Championship at Ambassador Golf Club in Windsor, Fanshawe's Mitchel Hampson (Mitchell, ON) captured the men's individual bronze medal. This is the first national medal won by a Fanshawe men's golfer.

Hampson led the Falcons with a three day score of 215 and posted rounds of 72-71-72 to finish +2, good for a tie for third place. Unfortunately the fourth round of the championship was cancelled due to inclement weather, just as Hampson had taken the overall lead, shooting four under par through ten holes. Hampson was named a CCAA Championship All-Star.

The Falcons Men's team is rounded out by Colin Warren (London, ON) (T-25, 233), Luke Evans (Georgetown, ON) (T-36, 239), Calvin Norris (London, ON) (T-43, 243) and Jack Sue (Richmond Hill, ON) (T-43, 243). The Head Coach is Colin Robertson. As a team, Fanshawe finished in eighth place with a three day team total of 926 (+74).
