Women's Curling Places 6th in the Nation

(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Women's Curling teams finished 6th in the nation after competing at the CCAA National Championships in Fredericton, New Brunswick from March 12-16.

The Falcons went 3-4 in round-robin play. A major highlight for the Birds was a 7-6 victory against Concordia in draw 12 who went on to win the national title. Unfortunately, the Falcons did not advance to the medal rounds and claimed 6th place at the CCAA Championships.

Coached by Barry Westman, the Fanshawe Women's team is made up of lead Abigail Brown (Sudbury), second Nicole McClennan (Guelph), vice Kara Wrightson (St. George), and skip Veronica Van Broekhoven (Port Stanley). The Falcons look forward to an even greater season next year.
