(London, Ontario) – The OCAA announced today the winners of the Men's Baseball league awards. The Falcons were honoured with two players receiving OCAA All-Stars.
Faris Adamou – OCAA Baseball League All-Star:
Third-year outfielder Faris Adamou (Mississauga, ON) had another impressive season for Fanshawe. He led the team in batting average (.452), runs (14) and had a league-high 11 stolen bases. Adamou added 14 hits, including 6 doubles, and 8 RBIs.
Greg Van Boekel – OCAA Baseball League All-Star:
Greg Van Boekel (Woodstock, ON) had an excellent first year as a Falcon. He had a .387 batting average, with 12 hits, 9 runs and 7 RBIs.
The Fanshawe Baseball team (7-5, 3rd West) will travel to Oshawa for the OCAA Championship. They will face host Durham College (7-7, 2nd East) on Thursday, October 21 at 4 p.m.
