Theresa Carriere (Colizza) starred on the Women's Basketball team for three years (1983-86). During that time, Theresa led the Falcons to two OCAA Provincial Championships, and one OCAA silver medal. The Sault Ste. Marie native was recognized as a two-time OCAA Championship Tournament MVP. Theresa was also named a CCAA All-Canadian in 1984-85, and was the first Ontario female basketball player named a CCAA Tournament All-Star. The Fanshawe Falcons point guard was awarded the Female Athlete of the Year in both 1984-85 and 1985-86. She graduated from the Fitness & Health Promotion program. In 2000, Carriere was named to the OCAA All-Millennium Women's Basketball team. Carriere continued her basketball career at Fanshawe serving as both the head coach (1987-89) and assistant coach (1989-92) of the Women's Basketball Team.
