Ryter Named New Fanshawe Cross Country Head Coach

(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Athletics announced today that Regan Ryter has been selected as the new Head Coach to lead the Fanshawe Falcons Women's and Men's Cross Country program.

 

Ryter was the Fanshawe Falcons Assistant Coach for the past two seasons and is a trained Endurance Club Coach through Athletics Canada. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Ryter successfully completed two years of the CAO Coach Mentorship Program, a partnership between the Coaches Association of Ontario and the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA).

 

Ryter raced for the Falcons in 2017 and 2019 and during that time, was named an OCAA All-Academic. She graduated with Honours from the Fanshawe Fitness and Health Promotion program and Business Marketing program. Ryter is the Programming Lead for the Next Level Sports program run by the Boys and Girls Club of London.

 

Fanshawe Director of Athletics and Recreation, Ian Foss, stated, "We are very excited to have Regan join our coaching team as Head Coach for the Cross Country program at Fanshawe. Regan brings an exceptional mix of coaching and personal experience. What is particularly impressive is her unique coaching philosophy, which focuses equally on performance outcomes as well as athlete development. We believe this will be key to building sustainable success for our Cross Country team as we look ahead to the 2023-24 season."
