TORONTO - The following student-athletes have been recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) for their accomplishments during the seven-day period ending Sunday, Jan. 20:

Janelle Albert
School: Fanshawe
Program: Business Marketing
Year of Eligibility: 2
Sport: Women's Volleyball
Hometown: Brampton, Ont.
Albert has been dominating all season for undefeated Fanshawe (12-0). This past week, she averaged 19 points in two Fanshawe wins. The second-year outside hitter notched a season-high 17 kills, 20 digs, three service aces and one stuff block in a 3-1 win at Conestoga on Jan. 17 and followed that with nine kills, an incredible seven aces and one block in a straight sets win over Sheridan on Jan. 20. Albert is currently third in the OCAA in scoring averaging 4.4 points per set. Fanshawe has a key match-up with St. Clair (11-1) on Jan. 23 in London, with top spot in the West Division on the line.
