(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Falcons Women's Soccer squad completed an undefeated OCAA regular season in Tuesday afternoon's 5-0 home win over Conestoga (3-5-1). Fanshawe is currently ranked as the top team in the nation with a record of 8-0-1. The victory extended the Falcons' OCAA unbeaten streak to 23 games and clinched first place in the OCAA West Division.

The OCAA's leading scorer Jade Kovacevic (Action, ON) did not waste any time getting Fanshawe on the board in the first half. She placed a ball past the Condor's goalkeeper in the fourth minute of the match. A beautiful pass from Angelika Mihalopulos (London, ON) to Kayla McQueen (London, ON) put the Falcons up 2-0. Kovacevic notched another goal in the 27^th minute on a penalty kick to make the score 3-0 throughout the opening 45 minutes.

In the second half, Nicole Nielsen (London, ON) got her head on a cross from Chelsea Zavitz (St. Thomas, ON) to extend Fanshawe's lead. McQueen netted her second of the game in the 64^th minute to make the score 5-0 for the red and white.

On Saturday, October 19, the Falcons will host a first round playoff game at 1pm against a to be determined opponent.
