Fanshawe Women’s Soccer to Face SAIT in CCAA Quarterfinal Match

(London, Ontario) – The OCAA Champion Fanshawe Women's Soccer team will travel to British Columbia for the CCAA National Championship from November 7-10. The National Championship will be hosted by Douglas College in Coquitlam. In the quarterfinal, the Falcons will face the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology at 6pm EST (3pm PST) on Wednesday, November 7.

 

The Falcons were a perfect 10-0 in the regular season and finished atop the OCAA West Division standings. They then defeated the Humber Hawks 3-2 in overtime for the OCAA title. Fanshawe is led by OCAA Player of the Year Jade Kovacevic (Acton, ON) who averaged a nation's best average of 3 goals per game this season. She is supported by OCAA All-Star teammates Alex Clements (London, ON) and Nicole Nielsen (London, ON).

 

SAIT is led by ACAC Player of the Year Deanna Kuan and finished atop the ACAC South Division standings with a perfect 12-0 record in the regular season. SAIT was ousted by NAIT 2-1 in a double overtime final.
