Fanshawe Indoor Soccer Teams OCAA Championship Bound

(London, Ontario) – On Wednesday at Seneca College in Toronto, the Fanshawe Indoor Soccer squads both clinched their spots in the OCAA Championships after finishing first place in their OCAA regional tournaments.

 

The Women finished as the top seed with a 3-0-1 record, opening with a 3-0 win over Mohawk College. The Falcons then tied Laurier Brantford 0-0 before capturing afternoon wins over Durham 4-2 and St. Lawrence 6-0.

 

The Fanshawe Men also went 3-0-1 on the day, good for first place. They claimed victories over Conestoga and Georgian by scores of 4-0 and 1-0 respectively. The Falcons then tied Durham 3-3 before winning 6-0 over St. Lawrence to conclude the tournament.

 

Both Fanshawe teams now advance to the OCAA Provincial Championships from March 21-22 at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Toronto, hosted by Humber College.
