Where is your home town?
Kapuskasing

Where did you go to college?
Fanshawe

Why do you coach?
I coach because I am passionate about the game of basketball and what it provides for the players. Our team of coaches focus to create a family environment where our athletes can reach their potential in life and truly prosper.
It is rewarding to see a program come together and I am incredibly blessed to have an amazing supporting cast in my wife and daughters.

Who is your coaching inspiration?
"Coach". Glenn Johnston. When I arrived at Fanshawe as an 18 year old kid from Northern Ontario, Coach Johnston was, and still is, a legend. He taught me so much both when I played for him as a student and when I became a coach. He always had a brilliant answer to every question and was a great teacher. So when I became a coach myself, he'd given me the confidence that I had learned from the best.

What is your favourite Falcons coaching memory?
First – my favourite non-coaching Falcons moment was in 1984 when I was a student. Watching my wife-to-be, Theresa, hit a buzzer beater shot to win 54-53 over Niagara for the OCAA Championship and be named the tournament MVP.

As a coach… there are so many! Of course every championship team is so special. But I would have to go with in 1987/88, Theresa and I's first year coaching, we were the underdogs going into the Championship finals. Our team had not been awarded any league All-Stars and the girls were hungry to win. We were playing against a talented Mohawk team and won by three points to claim our first ever title as coaches.

What do you like to do in your free time?
Family first. But other than my family and basketball…golf!

Any fun facts you'd like to share about yourself?
I have mastered the ability of pretending to be sleeping on the bus when Tony is talking during our Falcons road trips. :)
