
(London, Ontario) – The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) has announced the 2024-25 Men's Volleyball league awards, with three Fanshawe Falcons earning All-Star recognition.
Jayden Crowther (London, ON) was named an OCAA West Division First Team All-Star for the third consecutive season. The senior middle blocker led the team with 33 blocks, ranking ninth in the OCAA. He also recorded 158 points and 17 aces, placing third among Falcons in both categories.
Tanner Paterson (Baden, ON) earned OCAA West Division Second Team All-Star honours for the second straight year. The fourth year outside hitter was tied for second in the OCAA with 35 aces and finished second on Fanshawe with 198 points and 146 kills. A former First Team All-Star (2022-23), Paterson made history this season by breaking Fanshawe's all-time career kill record, reaching 488 on January 12th against Sheridan.
Zack Admans (St. Thomas, ON) led the Falcons' offensive attack this season and secured his first OCAA All-Star selection, earning West Division Second Team honours. In his second season with Fanshawe, Admans topped the team with 237 points and 185 kills, ranking seventh and ninth in the OCAA, respectively.
Following a decisive 3-0 win over Loyalist (9-9, 6th in East) in their playoff crossover match, the Falcons (14-4, 3rd in West) have advanced to the OCAA Quarter-Finals. Fanshawe will take on the West Division's seventh seed, Redeemer Royals (7-11), on Saturday, February 15th, at 3:00 p.m. at the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre.
