(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Men's Volleyball team (11-11, 5th in West) finished their 2019-20 campaign with a tough five set loss to Georgian (17-3, 2nd in East) in the OCAA bronze medal match.
The Falcons started the match strong, taking the first two sets 25-23. Unfortunately, the Grizzlies would take set three 25-22 and used that momentum to propel them to a 25-23 fourth set victory. In the fifth set, both teams battled hard but the Falcons fell short. Fanshawe dropped the final set 15-13 and the match 3-2. Ewan Mason (London, ON) led the Falcons with 19 points, while teammates Luke Blissett (London, ON) and Mike Liscumb (Ilderton, ON) added 16 and 11 points respectively. Liscumb was named the Player of the Match and Mason was named a Tournament All-Star.
The Championship was hosted by Fleming College in Peterborough, ON.
