
(London, Ontario) – On Sunday afternoon, the Fanshawe Falcons Men's Volleyball team (4-4) fell to the Sheridan Bruins (1-6) at home.
The Birds came out strong in the first set, taking a 13-8 lead midway through the frame. Daniel Ridings (St. Catharines, ON) had six kills in the opening set and the Falcons took the 25-20 win.
Sheridan bounced back to take the next two sets 26-24 and 25-23.
Fanshawe took the lead midway though the fourth frame with back-to-back hits from Mitch McFadden (St. Paul's, ON) and Elliott Leslie (London, ON). The Falcons would win the fourth set 25-18 to force a fifth and final set.
The teams exchanged points in the fifth, unfortunately the Bruins would come out on top 16-14 to win the match 3-2.
On Saturday, November 30, Fanshawe will travel to Welland to play against the No. 10 nationally ranked Niagara Knights (5-2) at 3pm.
