(London, Ontario) – The OCAA Champion Fanshawe Men's Volleyball team will travel to Alberta for the CCAA Men's Volleyball National Championship from March 6-9. The National Championship will be hosted by Red Deer College. In the quarterfinal, the #1 nationally ranked Falcons (22-0) will face the Holland Hurricanes from the Atlantic conference at 3pm EST (1pm MT) on Thursday, March 7.

Fanshawe has a very balanced attack but are led by OCAA Championship MVP Zach Albert (Brampton, ON) who averaged 4.0 points per set this season. The Falcons depth was evident over the OCAA tournament as eight different Falcons recorded points in the gold medal match. Setter Sebastian Lethbridge (London, ON) and outside hitter James Jackson (London, ON) were named Tournament All-Stars.

The Hurricanes are led by Brett Butler, who averaged 4.4 points per set, good for second place in the ACAA. Holland finished in third place in regular season play with a record of 8-7. They then upset first place St. Thomas University in the final of their conference tournament 3-1.
