(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Basketball student-athletes were honoured for their accomplishments this season as the OCAA handed out their 2021-22 league awards.

Local third-year Alison Cotton was named an OCAA Women's Basketball OCAA West Division Second Team All-Star for her excellent play this season. Cotton averaged 10.7 points per game and was third in the OCAA West Division in rebounds per game with 11.5. She also added 1.3 blocks and 2.0 steals per game.

The Falcons Men's Basketball team had two rookies honoured this season, as Dante Richards (Oakville, ON) and Aidan Whalen (Cambridge, ON) were both named to the West Division All-Rookie Team. Both players led Fanshawe with an impressive 16.8 points per game and 1.6 steals per game. Whalen also had a team-high 8.3 rebounds per game, while Richards notched 3.3 assists per contest.
