(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Athletics announced today, that Men's Basketball student-athlete Dante Richards (Oakville, ON) has been named the Fanshawe Male Student-Athlete of the Month for February sponsored by the Fanshawe Alumni Association.

The first-year guard has averaged an impressive 19.3 points per game on 42% shooting from the field for the Falcons. Richards also is averaging 3.3 assists, 1.6 steals and 3.7 rebounds per game. Richards notched a career-high 34 points in Fanshawe's overtime game versus Lambton on February 23. He is also leading the team in minutes played, averaging 34.6 minutes a game. Fanshawe is currently tied for sixth in a competitive OCAA West Division and are riding a two-game win streak. The Falcons have a pivotal game tonight as they travel to Brampton to take on the Sheridan Bruins at 8:00 p.m. The game can be streamed at www.fanshawefalcons.ca/watchlive.
