Fanshawe’s Code Crowned OCAA Men’s Individual Golf Champion

(London, Ontario) – The OCAA Provincial Golf Championships concluded today at Cataraqui Golf Club in Kingston, hosted by St. Lawrence College.  Fanshawe's Thomas Code (Dorchester, ON) was crowned the OCAA champion in the Men's Individual event. The Fanshawe Men's and Women's teams both finished with the provincial silver medal.

 

In winning gold, Code also set a Fanshawe Golf record for best one day score (65), two day score (137) and three day score (209). He finished three strokes ahead of second place and was named a CCAA All-Canadian. Code was also named to the OCAA All-Ontario Team. This is the second consecutive year that Fanshawe has won the Individual Men's title (Braydon White, 2018). The OCAA silver medalist Falcons Men's team is rounded out by Blake Mackey (Walkerton, ON), Ryan Harvey (London, ON), Brad Byers (Oakville, ON) and Colin Warren (London, ON).

 

The silver medalist Fanshawe Women's team includes Alyssa Stoddart (Orangeville, ON) and Mery Tarigan (Kabanjahe, Indonesia). Stoddart finished the three day tournament with a score of 254. Her impressive third round score of 78 set a new Fanshawe Women's Golf record for best single round. The Head Coach of the Falcons Golf team is Colin Robertson.

 

Both teams will advance to the CCAA national championships from October 15-18 at the Continental Golf Club in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec. The Falcons Men's squad is currently ranked No. 3 in Canada and the Women's team sit at No. 4. For full OCAA championship results, visit:
