(London, Ontario) – Canada's top student-athlete golfers will compete from May 28-31 for the 2019 Canadian University/College Championships, hosted by Fanshawe College at FireRock Golf Club in Komoka, ON.

Reigning OCAA Champions and CCAA All-Canadians Alyssa Stoddart (Orangeville, ON) and Braydon White (Barrie, ON) will lead their teammates in representing the Fanshawe Falcons on the national stage. Stoddart made Fanshawe history this past October, becoming the first Falcons female golfer ever to win an OCAA gold and CCAA bronze medal.

White also set a Fanshawe Golf record at the 2018 Golf provincials, shooting even par (213) over the three days in less than perfect weather conditions. The OCAA silver medalist Falcons Men's team includes Blake Mackey (Walkerton, ON), Thomas Code (Dorchester, ON), Brad Byers (Oakville, ON) and Ryan Harvey (London, ON).

The Falcons are coached by 2018 OCAA and CCAA Golf Coach of the Year, Colin Robertson.

The Golf Canada event was established in 2003 to give the country's best college and university golfers a chance to compete at a national championship. The 72-hole stroke play competition will feature 20 men's teams and 12 women's teams from across the country vying for the national championship titles. "The Canadian University/College Championship provides a unique opportunity for the best student-athlete golfers in Canada to represent their school and compete for a national championship," said Tournament Director Dan Hyatt. "Golf Canada is proud to conduct this event to showcase the talent from universities and colleges across the country."
