(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Athletics announced today, that Women's Golf student-athlete Alyssa Stoddart (Orangeville, ON) has been named the SupplementSource.ca Fanshawe Female Student-Athlete of the Month for October.

At the OCAA Provincial Golf Championships at FireRock Golf Club from October 1-3, Stoddart made Fanshawe Women's Golf history. She brought home both the Women's Individual title and led the Falcons to a Women's Team championship, neither of which had ever never been done before. She also set a new Fanshawe record for best three day score, shooting 246, six strokes ahead of second place. Stoddart was named to the OCAA All-Ontario Team and an All-Canadian.

Stoddart continued her stellar month with a third place finish at the CCAA National Golf Championships. The tournament was held at the Desert Blume Golf Club in Medicine Hat, Alberta from October 16-19. Stoddart once again made history, bringing home Fanshawe's first ever National Golf medal. She set another new Fanshawe record for best score, as she shot plus-17 over the four day tournament, including an impressive 3-under par 69 on day three. Stoddart was named a CCAA Tournament All-Star for her bronze medal performance.

Stoddart is enrolled in the Golf and Club Management program and will receive a SupplementSource.ca health and wellness package for her accomplishments.
