TORONTO - The following student-athletes have been recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) for their accomplishments during the seven-day period ending Sunday, Sept. 29:

Nichole Erb
School: Fanshawe
Program: Early Childhood Leadership
Year of Eligibility: 2
Sport: Women's Softball
Hometown: Monkton, Ont.
Erb was a significant part of Fanshawe's four wins this weekend. In a doubleheader against Mohawk on Sept. 28, Erb went 5-for-8 at the plate, with five runs and five RBIs. In the Game 2, Erb pitched a complete game in an 11-3 win and set a new Fanshawe record for most strikeouts in a game with 12. The next day, she followed this performance with eight strikeouts in Fanshawe's 9-1 win over Seneca. She also went 2-for-4 at the plate, with one run and three RBIs, including a home run. Erb now has an 11-game hitting streak entering the home stretch.
