(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Athletics announced today that they have been selected to host the 2019 OCAA Provincial Softball Championship from Friday, October 18 to Saturday, October 19. This is the first time Fanshawe has hosted the OCAA Softball Championship.

Championship play will include the top four teams in the province and will be played at Fanshawe's newly constructed Alumni Field. The premier field is London's only regulation sized softball diamond, equipped with an irrigated grass outfield and groomed clay infield.   

The Falcons are looking to build upon their impressive third place finish at last year's Provincial Championship. Fanshawe is led by returning MVP Samantha Fuller (Ingersoll, ON) and reigning OCAA Rookie of the Year, Nichole Erb (Monkton, ON).
