(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Athletics announced today, that Women's Curling student-athlete Leah Hopkins (Ingersoll, ON) has been named the Fanshawe Female Student-Athlete of the Month for February sponsored by the Fanshawe Alumni Association.

The Falcons Women's Curling team captured an OCAA bronze medal at the OCAA Provincial Championships in Sault Ste. Marie from February 17-21. The team finished third in round robin play, with a record of 3-3 and then fell in the semi-final match to Niagara. For her stellar play throughout the tournament, Hopkins was named an OCAA Second-Team Championship All-Star.

The Falcon rookie is currently in the Chemical Laboratory Technology program.
