(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Falcons Men's Curling graduate, Charlie Richard (Woodstock, ON), had an impressive second place finish at the Cameron's Brewing Doubles Cashspiel on September 27.

In the semi-final, Richard and doubles partner Maddy Warriner, who represent the Woodstock Curling Club, upset the team of John Epping and Lisa Weagle by a score of 8-7. Epping finished last year ranked second in the world and represented Ontario at the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier, where they finished the championship pool tied for fourth place.

Richard is a five-time OCAA medalist (2015-2020), including three golds. In 2016-17, Richard was the Falcons skip when they won the CCAA National Championship. He led Fanshawe to a CCAA national bronze medal last season and concluded his Falcons career as a three-time OCAA All-Star, two-time CCAA All-Star and two-time team MVP.
