(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Curling teams competed in the CCAA National Championships in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba from March 11-15. The Falcons Men's team came home with the CCAA National bronze medal.

The Men had a strong round robin campaign, finishing with a 5-2 record along with two other colleges. Due to tiebreakers, the Falcons finished fourth in round robin and faced top seeded Humber on Sunday in the National semi-final. Unfortunately, Fanshawe fell to the Hawks 9-7.

They then faced the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in the bronze medal game. The Falcons had lost 10-2 to NAIT the previous day in the round robin. However, the Birds were at their best when it counted the most and claimed the CCAA National bronze medal with a commanding 12-5 victory over the Ooks. Fanshawe's second Owen Tester (Fort McMurray, AB) was named a CCAA Second Team All-Star.

The Women's squad went 2-5 in round robin play and did not advance to the medal round. Two Falcons were named CCAA Second Team All-Stars, skip Amelia Dolsen (Tecumseh, ON) and second Lauren Massey (London, ON).
