(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Athletics announced today, that Men's Curling student-athlete Tyler Twining (Owen Sound, ON) has been named the SupplementSource.ca Fanshawe Male Student-Athlete of the Month for February.

Twining, a Vice, helped lead Fanshawe to a second consecutive OCAA Men's Curling gold medal from February 14-17 in Hamilton. The Falcons finished the round robin in third place with a record of 3-2. In the semi-final, Fanshawe stepped up their game to defeat Humber by a score of 5-2. They would then take on the Sault Cougars and won 6-4 in an extra end to take home the 2019 OCAA Provincial Championship banner. Twining was named an OCAA First-Team All-Star for his excellent play throughout the championship. Twining will look to continue his success when the team go for national gold in Fredericton, N.B., from March 15-19.

Twining will receive a SupplementSource.ca health and wellness package for his accomplishments. He is enrolled in the Design Foundations program.
