Ruddach began his coaching career with Fanshawe in 2016 and has helped Falcons student-athletes reach the provincial or national podium in each of the past six seasons. He has led his squads to two CCAA medals and eight OCAA medals in his time as Fanshawe's Head Coach. He also served as the Head Badminton Coach at Saunders Secondary school in 2018-19. Ruddach is an alumni of Fanshawe, graduating from the Computer Systems Technician program in 2009.  During his time at Fanshawe, he was a member of the Badminton team for three seasons. Ruddach was named the OCAA Coach of the Year in the 2022-23 season.
