Overview:  Fanshawe College, under a partnership agreement with the Fanshawe College Student Union, competes in selected intercollegiate sports within the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (O.C.A.A.) and the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (C.C.A.A.).  Under the same agreement the college operates an extensive intramural athletics program involving over 5000 student athletes. The objective of this position is to contribute to the publicity and promotion activities of the Athletics Department, which in turn are aimed at maximization student participation in and enjoyment of all facets of the athletics programs.

Duties:  Under the general supervision of the Manager of Athletics or designate, the incumbent arranges to record varsity home games and tournaments of all sports, both audio and video.  The Videographer is responsible for obtaining video equipment and transferring the final product onto USB for the Sports Information Officer. They are also required to upload game film to Krossover film exchange site for OCAA Volleyball, Basketball and Soccer. The Videographer will also be required to compiling “highlights of the week” and then a 10 minute “Falcon Fever” video for year end, with highlights of all sports and behind the scenes interviews. 

Qualifications:  Applicants must have demonstrable experience in sports/action videography. You must also have access to the use of equipment for editing video.  Applicant must be a full time registered student at Fanshawe College. Preference will be given to students enrolled within the School of Contemporary Media (Broadcasting – Television, Multi-Media Design & Production, etc.)

Remuneration:  The Videographer will be paid the current minimum wage.
