Overview:  Fanshawe College, under a partnership agreement with the Fanshawe College Student Union, competes in selected intercollegiate sports within the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (O.C.A.A.) and the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (C.C.A.A.).  Under the same agreement the college operates an extensive intramural athletics program involving over 5000 student athletes.  The no-body contact Ice Hockey League is part of the intramural program included in the agreement.  Games are held at Stronach Arena with game times starting at 10PM.  The league operates from October to March.

Duties:  The convenor is responsible for the administration and supervision of the Intramural Ice Hockey League.  Activities will include on-site supervision of all games; assignment of game officials; publicity and public relations in terms of reporting of scores, standings, highlights to the media. Evaluation of referees, officials, program, and a final written report is required.  The incumbent acts as a member of the league disciplinary committee; and assists the Athletic Officer as required. The convenor will report to the Athletics and Sponsorship Officer.

Qualifications:  Experience in running house leagues and/or sports tournaments are preferred.  A working knowledge and understanding of hockey and its rules is preferred along with good interpersonal skills. Also, applicant must be a full time registered student at Fanshawe College. Furthermore, it would be an asset if the Convenor has their CPR and First Aid.

Remuneration:  The Assistant League Convenor will be paid the current minimum wage.
