(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Volleyball teams will host their first games of the 2018-19 OCAA regular season on Saturday, October 27 against the Mohawk Mountaineers. The Women's game will begin at 1pm, followed by the Men at 3pm at the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre. Both teams will be wearing pink jerseys for breast cancer awareness.

The Women's team (1-0) opened their season with a 3-1 win over Niagara. They return 2017-18 OCAA First Team All-Star Meghan Morelli (London, ON) and have added outside hitter Janelle Albert (Brampton, ON). Albert previously played for Ryerson University, where she was named to the OUA East All-Rookie team.

The Falcons Men's squad (1-0) are coming off of an undefeated 2017-18 OCAA season and a provincial gold medal. They will look to improve on their CCAA National silver medal this season, as they return the majority of their roster. Last year's OCAA Male Athlete of the Year Cole Jordan (London, ON) returns for the red and white, along with 2017-18 CCAA Championship All-Stars Sebastian Lethbridge (London, ON) and David Gundrum (Port Elgin, ON). Fanshawe also brings back 2017-18 OCAA Championship MVP Zach Albert (Brampton, ON) and 2016-17 CCAA First Team All-Star James Jackson.

General admission tickets are $5 per person, with free admission for kids under six and Fanshawe students with their valid Fanshawe student ID. Tickets purchased at the gate are cash only and will be available at the entrance of the Glenn Johnston Athletics Centre on Falcons game days, one hour prior to game time. Season passes will also be available at all home games and are $35 each.
