Paula Rich played on the Women's Basketball Team for three seasons (1993-96). During that time, Rich captained the Falcons to two OCAA Provincial Championships, one OCAA silver medal, and twice led the Falcons to CCAA National Championship appearances. The Ontario Native finished the 1995-96 season as the OCAA League scoring champion (19.5 ppg). Nationally, Rich was twice named a CCAA All-Canadian. The powerful forward was named as Fanshawe's Female Athlete of the Year on two occasions, and was a winner of the Les Zoltai award in 1995-96. She was also named as a Fanshawe College top academic, and graduated from Environmental Services in 1997. Rich finished her career ranked in the top ten in OCAA all-time scoring.
