Melanie Moulton was the recipient of the Fanshawe College Female Athlete of the year in 1998. She won two OCAA gold medals, one OCAA silver medal, numerous individual honours and made three appearances with Fanshawe at the National Championships in Women's Soccer. Her best season was in 1998 when she was the league's top scorer averaging 2.20 goals per game (13 goals in six league games). This paved the way for her to earn an All-Canadian award. She was also named a west Division All-Star and was declared OCAA Athlete of the Week when she broke an OCAA record for goals in a single game scoring five times in a 6-2 win over Lambton. Moulton graduated from the General Arts and Science program at Fanshawe in 1998. She went on to pursue music along with athletics when she graduated from the Music Industry Arts program at Fanshawe. Moulton was named a member of the OCAA Women's Soccer All-Millennium Team in 2009.
