Falcons Men’s Cross Country Moves Up to No. 1 in the Nation

(London, Ontario) – In this week's Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) weekly rankings, the Fanshawe Men's Cross Country team have moved up three spots to No. 1 in the country.

 

The Men's squad moved up after an impressive first place team finish at their host invitational on October 5. The Falcons were led by Sandy Freeland who finished second overall and Patrick Smith who finished fourth. Other OCAA teams that are ranked include St. Clair (2), Sheridan (7), Humber (12) and St. Lawrence (15).

 

The Women's Cross Country team jumped from No. 15 to No. 6 in this week's edition of the CCAA's rankings after a second place finish at their host race. Jessica Martin was the winner of the Women's individual race for the Falcons. Other OCAA teams represented in the national rankings include University of Toronto Mississauga (4), Laurier Brantford (5), St. Clair (10) and Humber (11).
