TORONTO - The following student-athletes have been recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) for their accomplishments during the seven-day period ending on Sunday, November 24:
Janelle Albert
School: Fanshawe
Program: Business Marketing
Year of Eligibility: 3
Sport: Women's Volleyball
Hometown: Brampton, Ont.
Albert led Fanshawe to back-to-back 3-0 victories at home this weekend. Against second place Mohawk on Nov. 23, Albert tallied 23 points and an impressive kill percentage of .519. The following day versus Sheridan, Albert once again had 23 points, including 10 service aces. The reigning provincial and national Player of the Year currently leads all OCAA players averaging 6.2 points per set, two points better than her closest rival. The No. 4 nationally-ranked Falcons are currently 8-0 this season and are riding a 30-match win streak against OCAA competition.
