At the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre on Wednesday evening, the No. 4 nationally ranked Fanshawe Women's Volleyball team (5-0) handed the St. Clair Saints (3-1) their first loss of the season by scores of 25-18, 25-15 and 25-14.
The three-set win extended Fanshawe's OCAA win streak to 27 games. Janelle Albert (Brampton, ON) had 17 points for the Falcons, while teammate Mattea Deleary (Ridgetown, ON) added 11 points, including a perfect kill percentage. Second-year setter Ashley Rafferty (Peace River, AB) recorded 33 assists in the match. Tarea Heshka (Erin, ON) contributed eight points and 10 digs.
Fanshawe will be back in action on Friday, November 15 when they travel to Etobicoke to face the Humber Hawks (1-1).
