(London, Ontario) – The #5 nationally ranked Fanshawe Women's Volleyball team completed a perfect 18-0 regular season on Sunday with a 3-0 win over Boréal (0-18). The win marked the first time in Fanshawe history that a Women's Volleyball team has achieved this accomplishment (not including tier II team that went 13-0 in 1987).

Fanshawe senior Danielle Grasman (Komoka, ON) opened the scoring, as the red and white would take the lead in set one. The Falcons' high-powered offense was on display throughout the set, as Ainsley Acton (Lucan, ON) and Meghan Morelli (London, ON) got on the board with a couple of kills. The Birds would wear down the Vipers and take the first set 25-9.

In set two, a Kiana Taylor (London, ON) service ace gave Fanshawe an early advantage. A nice set from Maya Danis (Cambridge, ON) to Kelsey McLellan (Brandon, MB) kept the Falcons on top. Fanshawe would stretch their lead with a well-placed tip from Ashley Rafferty (Peace River, AB) and go on to win 25-9.

Great defense from fourth-year libero Ripley Woodhouse (London, ON) led the Falcons in set three. Another strong hit from Acton excited the home crowd. Fanshawe would close out their final regular season set with a Grasman kill to make the score 25-16. Grasman finished with a match-high 12 points and Morelli contributed 11 points of her own. The Falcons swept Boréal to complete their undefeated regular season.
