(London, Ontario) – On Saturday afternoon at the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre, the #9 nationally ranked Fanshawe Women's Volleyball team (4-0) won 3-0 over the Conestoga Condors (0-2).

The Falcons got out to an early 3-0 lead with kills from middle blocker Ainsley Acton (Lucan, ON) and Jacqueline Coulter (Calgary, AB). Mattea Deleary (Ridgetown, ON) had back-to-back blocks to extend Fanshawe's lead to 14-4 midway through the set. The Condors could not recover from the early deficit and the Falcons took the opening set 25-11.

In set two, the Falcons went on a run behind incredible serving by Janelle Albert (Brampton, ON). She tallied seven service aces during the set to give Fanshawe a 16-5 lead. Meghan Morelli (London, ON) had a well-placed tip to extend the home team's lead. Fanshawe went on to win the second set 25-10.

The teams traded points early in the third set, until a right side kill by Katie Stewart (Gananoque, ON) sparked the home crowd. Acton then had three kills of her own to help the Falcons pull away. Kim Hardy (Melbourne, ON) finished the match with a service ace, as Fanshawe won the third frame by a score of 25-12. Albert led the Falcons with nine points, while Morelli added eight.

The Falcons will take home court again on Wednesday, November 7 at 6pm against the Redeemer Royals (0-2).
