(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Women's Soccer team dropped the CCAA bronze medal match on Saturday 1-0 to RSEQ champion Champlain St-Lambert to finish fourth in the country.
Champlain scored early in the 7th minute and would manage to hold on to the lead for the remainder of the game. Falcons keeper Breanne Carreiro (Strathroy, ON) made a number of key saves in the second half as the red and white pressed for the equalizer. Fifth-year centreback Daniella Strano (London, ON) was named Fanshawe's player of the match. Midfielder Angelika Mihalopulos (London, ON) was named a CCAA Tournament All-Star for her stellar play throughout the week.
