(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Women's Soccer team won a hard fought 2-0 match over Seneca in their CCAA bronze medal semi-final game on Friday morning. The Championship is being held in Edmonton, Alberta and hosted by Concordia University.

In a rematch of the OCAA Championship match, Angelika Mihalopulos (London, ON) scored for the Falcons when she found the end of a bouncing ball from a Daniella Strano (London, ON) free kick. The goal was scored in the 45th minute, right before the end of the first frame. In the second half, up a player due to a Falcons' red card in the 60th minute, Seneca was able to generate pressure. However, Fanshawe battled and showed determination in holding off the Sting. The red and white scored again on a counterattack breakaway by CCAA Player of the Year Jade Kovacevic (Acton, ON).
