(London, Ontario) – The No. 5 CCAA ranked Fanshawe Women's Basketball team will have their home opener on Wednesday, October 30 against the No. 8 ranked St. Clair Saints. The Women's game will tip off at 6pm, followed by the Men at 8pm at the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre.

The Women's game will be a rematch of last season's OCAA final, when the Falcons narrowly defeated the Saints 78-72. Fanshawe returns 2018-19 OCAA Player of the Year Chuot Angou (London, ON) and fifth year teammates Natalie Warren (London, ON) and Mikhaila Wright (London, ON).

The Falcons will be warming up in ONERUN shirts in honour of those who have lost their battle to cancer and to show support for those who continue to be affected. ONERUN is a cancer fundraiser that supports cancer patients and their families in London and surrounding areas. It began in 2010 with breast cancer survivor and Fanshawe Women's Basketball assistant coach, Theresa Carriere, running 100kms in one day to raise money for cancer patient care. To date, ONERUN's efforts have raised over a million dollars for cancer patients and their families in our community.  In May 2020, ten high schools will participate in their own ONERUN school event. Then, on Friday, June 19, Theresa Carriere will once again be running 100km in one day.

General admission tickets are $5 per person, with free admission for kids under six and Fanshawe students with their valid Fanshawe student ID. Tickets purchased at the gate are cash only and will be available at the entrance of the Glenn Johnston Athletics Centre on Falcons game days, one hour prior to game time. Season passes will also be available at all home games and are $35 each.
