TORONTO - The following student-athletes have been recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) for their accomplishments during the seven-day period ending Sunday, Nov. 25:
Zach Albert
School: Fanshawe
Program: Business Marketing
Year of Eligibility: 4
Sport: Men's Volleyball
Hometown: Brampton, Ont.
In a battle between unbeaten teams, Albert recorded a match-high 18 points on 16 kills, one service ace and one block in Fanshawe's three-set sweep of Humber on Saturday in a rematch of last season's OCAA gold medal match. Albert also added eight digs to his totals. The outside hitter leads all Fanshawe players averaging 3.9 points per set. The reigning OCAA champions have now won 39 consecutive regular season matches, having swept eight straight matches to open the 2018-19 season. Fanshawe hosts Sheridan (3-4) on Dec. 1 to conclude the first half.
