(London, ON) – The Fanshawe Men's Soccer team (7-3-2, 4th West) season came to an end on Saturday evening, falling 2-1 to the undefeated No. 2 CCAA ranked George Brown Huskies (12-0, 1st East) at Esther Shiner Stadium.
The Birds went up 1-0 in the 38th minute. Fanshawe's All-Stars, Engjell Qamili (London, ON) and Kyle Cameron (St. Catharines, ON) connected on a give-and-go play where Cameron snuck past George Brown's goalie to score.
Going into the half, the Falcons outshot the Huskies 6-4, but the match shifted in George Brown's favour. Outshooting the Birds 9-2 in the second, the Huskies scored in the 74th and 87th minute to take the game and move on to the OCAA Championship.
