Cameron’s Hat-Trick Leads the Falcons to Victory

The Fanshawe Men's Soccer team (3-1-2) are back on track after commanding the win against the Lambton Lions (0-6) on Tuesday evening. The Falcons won 7-0 after regulation.

Only 48 seconds into the match, first year Mateja Milidrag (London, ON) found the back of the visitor's net after receiving an assist from Kyle Cameron (St. Catharines, ON). After recording an assist early in the game, Cameron was only getting started. Cameron effortlessly had his way with the Lions defense, scoring three goals in the first half of the match. During the 30th minute, Cameron netted his first, assisted by midfielder Bilal El Said (London, ON). During the 41st minute, Mildrag and Cameron connected again as Mildrag sent his teammate a beautiful pass to secure Cameron's second goal. Cameron's hat trick was awarded five minutes later from an Oscar Calvo (London, ON) assist. Entering halftime, the Birds led 4-0. Fanshawe controlled the game, attempting nineteen shots to the visitor's one in the first half.

In the second half, the Falcons continued to control the possession with ease. Carlos Cabral (London, ON) sent the ball up the field and found Fanshawe's Jakub Bancewicz (London, ON) who buried the ball in the net for the fifth goal of the game. In the 88th and 89th minute, Milidrag and Bancewicz each picked up their second goals of the match to seal the Birds victory.

The Falcons look to repeat their dominant game play while facing the Sheridan Bruins (3-2) on Saturday at the Trafalgar Campus in Oakville, ON.
